Criteria Eligibility
Who can apply ? The programme is open to all scientists in the broadest sense of the term, including researchers, faculty members and research engineers, etc., both permanent and non-permanent, from a French research institution.
From which insitutions ? The programme is open to scientists from all French higher education and/or research institutions.
Thematic scope of the programme The programme covers the entire spectrum of digital science and technology, from its foundations to its uses, and therefore covers both projects centred on digital technology and interdisciplinary projects involving digital technology.
Project duration The minimum duration of a PIQ project is six months. The maximum initial duration of a project is four years. The duration of a project may be extended during the life of the project under a joint agreement by the project leader, their institution and the programme management.
Amount financed per project The programme does not impose a limit on the amount of funding for a project. The funding request is drawn up by the project leader during the project application process, with the support of the programme management team. As a guide, the reference funding range is €10k to €400k per year.
Type of expenditure financed The programme provides funding for running costs, equipment, non-permanent staff and teaching leave, subject to acceptance by the institution concerned. Funding for the project leader’s salary is not eligible under the programme.
